Smart UV Light is a portable PV module tester.

With the Smart UV Light, testing is carried out directly at the installation site. It is not necessary to remove the modules from their mounting structures when using the tester.

The Smart UV Light portable tester is used to:

• • perform an ultraviolet fluorescence test to visualise microcracks in module cells
  • determine when the microcracks were formed

The test is carried out exclusively during the night, without removing the modules from their mounting structures
and without requiring plant downtime.

With Smart UV Light, up to 5 MWp -15,000 modules can be checked every 8 hours.
