The Mobile EL 01 is a portable PV module tester. With the Mobile EL 01, testing is carried out directly at the module installation or storage site. It is not necessary to remove the modules from their mounting structures when using the tester.

With the appropriate configuration, it can also carry out tests on uninstalled modules before they are activated.

The Mobile EL 01 high-resolution portable device is used to carry out:

• • electroluminescence testing to detect possible problems such as microcracks or PID in the module cells
  • diode testing

The test is carried out exclusively during the night without removing the modules from their mounting structures and without requiring plant downtime.

Alternatively, in the case of quality control of new, uninstalled modules, the test can be performed in a dark room.

The Mobile EL 01 can test up to 400 modules every 8 hours.A test certificate is issued for each tested module which includes the full results of the electroluminescence test and labelling of cell defects.
