The Metrel MI 3115 is a portable device for testing PV modules and strings.

The Metrel MI3115 portable PV module and string tester is used to perform the following in facilities up to 1500Vdc:

• I-V measurement testing of PV modules– strings
• Isc Voc measurement testing of PV modules– strings
• polarity test of PV strings
• insulation resistance (Riso) measurement of PV modules/strings at 1500V
• grounding continuity test

All of the above tests must be performed before connecting PV modules/strings to the inverters.

The tests are carried out without removing the modules from their mounting structures.
